The 1–7 scale is standardised for all funds on the market; the low/moderate/higher-risk labels compare only the company’s four funds.

Who it is suitable for

Investors with a low risk tolerance; as a first step into funds; for parking money over a horizon of even under 2–3 years; and for balancing out higher-risk positions.

The value of an investment and the income from it may fall. Profit is not guaranteed and there is a risk that investors may not recover the full amount invested.

How to invest

Review the documents

Before placing an order, you must review at least the minimum set of documents. By signing the order form (contract) you declare that you have had this opportunity.

Minimum set of documents to review before ordering

Transfer the amount to the fund's account

IBAN: BG03 BPBI 7942 5018 4738 03 · BIC: BPBIBGSF · Eurobank Bulgaria AD

Payment reference: for the subscription of units in Trend Conservative Fund.

Place an order

At our office at 28 Aksakov Street on any business day from 9:00 to 16:30, or by email (trend@trend-am.com) with a qualified electronic signature — form “Order for purchase of units”. The payment order or deposit slip for the amount paid is attached to the order form.

Receive confirmation

A subscription order is executed within up to 7 days; you receive confirmation no later than the end of the business day following execution. You choose how to receive it in the order form itself: free of charge — in person at the office or by email; subject to a fee under the tariff — by post, to a correspondence address you specify.

How to sell (redemption)

Place a redemption order

In the same way as a purchase — at the office or by email with a QES (see “How do I place an order online?”) — form “Order for sale of units”. You state the number of units you wish to sell; the units must be held with the Management Company. For this fund, the value of a single redemption order may not be less than 511.29 €. If a redemption would leave your remaining holding below this amount, the order must cover all the units you hold; if your entire holding is below it, you may redeem it with a single order.

Execution and price

The order is executed within up to 10 days at the applicable price, which will be determined on the next business day after it is placed.

Receive the amount

The amount is transferred to the bank account you specify in the order form.

Taxation

Income of resident individuals and of persons from the EU/EEA from the redemption of units is tax-exempt. Individuals from third countries owe a final tax of 10% on the taxable income. For legal entities, the gain on redemption of units reduces the tax financial result under the Corporate Income Tax Act (and a loss correspondingly increases it) and is not subject to withholding tax.

The legal basis
Individuals: Article 13(1)(3) of the Personal Income Taxes Act in conjunction with § 1, item 11, letter “b” of its Additional Provisions — redemption by collective investment schemes admitted to public offering in Bulgaria, in another EU Member State, or in a State party to the EEA Agreement. For persons from the EU/EEA — Article 37(7); for persons from third countries — Article 37(1)(12) and Article 46(1).
Legal entities: Article 44 of the Corporate Income Tax Act in conjunction with § 1, item 21, letter “b” of its Additional Provisions; for withholding tax — Article 196.
The fund is a collective investment scheme under Article 4(1) of the Collective Investment Schemes Act.

Frequently asked questions

How do I place an order online?
If you are investing for the first time, please visit our office or contact us.
To place an order online, you must meet two conditions:
• you hold a valid qualified electronic signature (QES);
• you are already an identified client of the Company — with checks completed under the Anti-Money Laundering Act and the necessary documents provided.
The procedure is as follows:
1. For a purchase: transfer the amount to the fund’s account:

IBAN: BG03 BPBI 7942 5018 4738 03 · BIC: BPBIBGSF · Eurobank Bulgaria AD

Payment reference: for the subscription of units in Trend Conservative Fund.

There is no need to wait for the funds to clear — you may continue as soon as the transfer has been ordered. For a redemption no transfer is made — start from step 2.
2. Send a free-text request to trend@trend-am.com: for a purchase you state the amount and attach the payment order for the amount transferred; for a redemption you state the number of units you wish to sell.
3. We verify the details (for a purchase — also the receipt of the amount; for a sale — whether and how many units you hold with the Company), prepare the order form (contract) and send it to you by email, signed with our electronic signature.
4. Sign the order form with your QES and send it to the same address, trend@trend-am.com — the order is thereby placed.
Requests and orders by email are processed on any business day from 9:00 to 16:30.
At what price will my order be executed?
The order will be executed at a price that will be determined on the next business day, after the day the order is placed. The execution price may differ from the last price announced on the website.
Can I sell part of my units?
Yes — units are divisible and you may sell only part of them, at any time; the price is determined on the next business day after the day the order is placed. For this fund, the value of a single redemption order may not be less than 511.29 €. If a redemption would leave your remaining holding below this amount, the order must cover all the units you hold; if your entire holding is below it, you may redeem it with a single order.
Is my investment guaranteed?
No. An investment in the fund is not a bank deposit — it is not covered by the Deposit Insurance Fund or by any state or other guarantee. The value of the units follows the market prices of the assets in the portfolio: it can rise, but it can also fall, and you may get back less than you invested; profit is not guaranteed. What is protected is your ownership of the units — the fund’s assets are safe-kept with the depositary bank (Eurobank Bulgaria AD), separately from the assets of the management company, under the supervision of the Financial Supervision Commission — but this protection covers the safekeeping of the assets, not their market value.
What commissions will I pay when buying or selling units?
The only commissions are the one-off charges applied at the transaction itself: on purchase you pay an issue price equal to the NAV per unit increased by 0.25%, and on sale you receive a redemption price equal to the NAV per unit reduced by 0.50%. The charge is applied once, separately for each order placed — no commissions are payable separately by the investor for holding the units (the fund’s ongoing charges are included in the unit price).
What are the fund’s administrative costs?
These are the ongoing costs of the fund’s mandatory infrastructure and supervision: the fee of the depositary bank (Eurobank Bulgaria AD), which safekeeps the assets and oversees the fund’s operations; the fees payable to the Financial Supervision Commission (FSC); the charges of Central Depository AD for maintaining the register of units; and the costs of the fund’s independent audit. They are included in the unit price and are not charged to investors separately.
What are the transaction costs?
These are the costs the fund incurs when buying and selling financial instruments: the commissions of the investment intermediaries through which trades are executed, and the fees of trading venues such as the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE). They arise only when the fund actually trades, are included in the unit price and are not charged to investors separately.
What happens if I transfer the money but no order is concluded?
The transfer itself does not create an obligation to issue units — units are acquired only under a concluded order form (contract), which is prepared only after successful identification under the Anti-Money Laundering Act, receipt of the amount and verification of the details. If the checks are not passed (for example, where documents have not been provided), no order form is concluded, no units are issued, and the amount transferred is subject to refund to the account from which it was received, in accordance with the law.
Where are my units held?
Units are dematerialised and are normally held with the Management Company — in your client account in the register maintained through Central Depository AD. This is the standard arrangement and is free of charge. If you wish, you may transfer your units for safekeeping to another investment intermediary or a bank — a transfer is made only on your explicit instruction and against a separate fee under the tariff. Please note: a redemption order can be placed when your units are held with the Management Company. If they are held with another intermediary or a bank, you must first instruct a transfer back to the Management Company, after which you can place the order.
